Guiding you through the transition to parenthood.

MamaWise is an organization that provides parents with the right tools and resources to manage life's stressors, improve mood, and promote parent-child bonding during the perinatal period (the year before and after birth).

Who We Are

MamaWise is a resource for people becoming parents – for the first time or those growing their families – and was created by Kate Touchton-Leonard, a maternal mental health and developmental psychology expert and mother of two, supported by the expertise of a network of mental health professionals in the United States and the Arab World.

What We Do

Milestones aren’t just for kids; having a baby is a major developmental milestone in the lives of women and families and the perinatal period
(the year before and after birth) is a time of seismic change. Nothing is ever the same – not heads, bodies, nor hearts; it can be wonderful and overwhelming, terrifying and exciting, and challenging, in equal measure.

MamaWise offers evidence-based courses and resources to provide families with the tools to help navigate these uncharted waters and to prepare in a way that promotes parent-child bonding, confidence, and wellbeing for all.

All your emotions are valid and we are here to support, guide, and empower you on one of the most significant transitions of your life – whether it’s your first or fifth child – from conception to birth to early years.
